Milliner's creative process: The Two Cities Collection
A sneak peek at Karen's latest COLLECTION, INSPIRED BY LONDON AND PARIS: architectural details, Rococo headwear and 1950's fashion
You might think that January would be a quiet month in the studio - Quite the opposite! Karen is designing and prototyping the new collection for next winter (Autumn/Winter 2017-18) which will be called 'Two cities'. The collection will be shown in Paris for the trade show Premiere Classe where we'll be exhibiting for the 10th year!
The collection is inspired by:
-London and Paris architectural details and textures, with moody skies that have inspired the colour tones for the collection.
-Period fashion, headwear and hairstyles from the late eighteenth century, inspired by Charles Dickens' 'Tale of two cities'.
-1950's French couture fashion, alongside detailing from Savile Row tailoring.
